The first Burger Theory Burger was created in 2012 and since then the creative juices have been flowing.

We try to push the boundaries of what can go in burgers and bring global inspiration to our cuisine along side that street food attitude.

You can find us in our mobile pop-up at festivals, weddings, events and at our Bristol restaurant.

All our food is made from locally sourced produce, high welfare farming and a whole lot of love!

We make all of our burgers, sauces and pickles on site.

Burger Theory has been built from the ground up with real grassroots, powered by an insatiable quest for better, fresher and more creative burgers. Founded & started in 2012 by chef Rory Perriment he began experimenting with different recipes inspired by world cuisine and realised he wanted to challenge the boundaries of what can go in a burger.

With the menu and philosophy set, we took our delicious new creations to festivals and food fairs around the country. The Burger Theory mobile stall can now be found at weddings, street food events and music festivals throughout the land! Check out the β€œFestivals” page to see where we will be this year to see where we truly started.

Over the years, Burger Theory has taken residency in various Bristol venues… The Golden Lion, Kongs Bar on King Street and we’ve had a mobile pop-up at The Old Bookshop and the Crofters Rights.

At Kongs, we met head chef Nick who completed the Burger Theory team who direct the company today. We finally secured our own site in January 2017 on St Stephen’s Street and after raising just over Β£6000 on Crowd Funder from you lovely lot, the doors to our first restaurant opened on 16th August 2017 and here we are!

Going forward our aim is simple….

To innovate burger cuisine and bring happiness to the world through the medium of burgers!

Founder & Director

This is Rory, our Founder, Director and self-confessed burger addict. The brain where it all began… πŸ”

Rory started Burger Theory in 2012 by experimenting with different recipes inspired by world cuisine and powered by a quest to find better, fresher burgers. He worked tirelessly with friends and employees taking the delicious new creations to festivals and food fairs around the country until he found a home in Bristol. A couple of years of pop-up kitchens, more festivals and a crowd funder later, we secured our first restaurant in 2017 where we can be found today! 😊

Rory’s a great boss (he lets us eat burgers in meetings) and we love him.

Katie-Jean began her career with Burger Theory in 2017 as a waitress, and after slipping off for a 6 month ski season, was promoted to the well-deserved position of General Manager and has kept growing and is now our Bristol Area Managerβ›·

Backed by a passionate team of burger lovers, Katie-Jean is the driving force at our Bristol restaurant & takes care of making sure your smile is as big as hers! 😍

This is Alisha πŸ˜€ Alisha started working for the Burger Theory festival stall in 2018. After a short break away from feeding the masses, she rejoined the Burger Theory team as a sous chef in their Bristol restaurant πŸ‘©πŸ»β€πŸ³ and spends the summer working as the Manager on the festival stall that started her BT journey….πŸ’ͺ🏼

Company Assistant

James joined Burger Theory in July 2018 as the Company Assistant. A man of many talents and the β€˜go-to guy’ for all things business, James is responsible for bookkeeping & accounts management, whilst also providing assistance with copywriting, project management & customer relations.

Over time, Jame’s role has grown to include helping with website development & new project builds, as well as offering continued support to the Burger Theory management as and when needed.
